The Knights’ 39-12 win over Centerville Friday did a few things. First, it put Northeastern atop the TEC, just a half game ahead of Centerville, Tri and Hagerstown. Second, it broke the Bulldogs’ 20-game win streak against TEC opponents, this being their first TEC loss since Oct. 18, 2019. Third, it gave the Knights their first win over Centerville since Sept. 21, 2018, almost four years to the date.

Like he’s done all year, Northeastern senior quarterback Carson Terrell led his team to the win. He completed 18 of 26 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 62 yards and a score. Noah Ammerman led the receivers with six catches for 137 yards and a touchdown. Conner Archie had seven catches for 77 yards and a pair of scores. Dylan Isaacs led the rushing attack with 73 yards.

Archie led the way on defense with 11 tackles and an interception. Isaacs had two interceptions, and Calvin Berhalter added one that he returned for a touchdown. Caleb Harmon, Zane Schneider and Colton Creech each forced a fumble. Ethan Neeley returned one of those for another defensive touchdown.

For Centerville, Jake Tinkle threw for 226 yards and a touchdown to Evan Pritchard. Aiden Hoelscher added a rushing score. Nathan Dickenson had 78 receiving yards, and Brayden Ross had 68 receiving yards and an interception.
