Northern Arizona football will look to end a three-game losing streak Saturday on Family Weekend, returning home to face Cal Poly for the first time since 2018.

The Lumberjacks (1-4) have played well in previous years on Family Weekend, but haven't been able to secure a win this season since Sept. 10 against Sam Houston State.

NAU holds a 47-20 record on Family Weekend dating back to 1954. In seven of the past eight Family Weekend games, NAU has broken the 30-point mark.  Last season, the Lumberjacks defeated the Idaho State Bengals, 41-17 on Family Weekend and in 2019, defeated Northern Colorado, 41-23.

The Lumberjacks are coming off last week's loss to Portland State, 35-27.

NAU defeated Cal Poly (1-3) last year 45-21. Sophomore running back Kevin Daniels rushed for 280 yards and five touchdowns in that matchup.

Cal Poly currently ranks 121 out of 123 FCS programs in passing yards allowed per game with 326.8. The Mustangs also are 117 in total defense with 504 yards allowed per game.

Mustangs head coach Beau Baldwin is in his third season, coming over from Cal. Prior to that, Baldwin was head coach of Eastern Washington, leading them to a 58-14 record.

Saturday's game kicks off at 1 p.m. at Walkup Skydome and will be available to stream on ESPN+ and Hulu with a subscription to the Disney Bundle.
