Northport woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County

A Northport woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Tuscaloosa County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Jearldine R. Sanford, 83, was fatally injured when the 2010 Chrysler Town and Country she was driving was struck by a 2005 Fleetwood Bounder recreational vehicle driven by John Sturkie, 30, of Waynesboro, Georgia.

Sanford was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred around 10:25 a.m. on Joe Mallisham Parkway, about 3 miles south of Northport.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said they are investigating the fatal crash and did not immediately provide any other information.
