RANDALLSTOWN, MD — The COVID-19 testing site at Northwest Hospital is closed Thursday, according to state health officials.

The Maryland Department of Health, which helps run the operation, announced it was closed due to the expected winter weather. Another testing site, at Regency Furniture Stadium, is also closed, officials said.

The Upper Chesapeake Health site is closing at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

The State Center is operating on a normal schedule, and all other state-run sites opened at noon.

Authorities advised people to check the status of testing sites before visiting.

Normally, the testing tent at Northwest Hospital is open outside the emergency department daily at 5401 Old Court Rd, Randallstown, MD 21133.

Appointments are unnecessary, and walk-up appointments are welcome.

Other site schedule changes are possible throughout the day.
