- Nearly 200 students from Northwestern University have now received their first COVID vaccine shot. The university hosting a last-minute midnight clinic yesterday to ensure unused Pfizer vaccines did not go to waste. Those doses were set to expire at 7:00 AM today. Not your typical Saturday night for a college student, but those we talked to were thrilled.
GABRIELLE KHORIATY: This was actually the first time I have left my dorm while it's been, like, late at night, because there's normally nowhere that I'm gonna go at night in the dark. So I was like, this is the first time in college I'm leaving my dorm, now out late at night, and it's to get the COVID vaccine.
- Well, everyone who received their first dose at the clinic will be able to get their second dose through the university as well.
