Norton, Highland set to host high school all-star basketball games Tuesday

High school basketball fans in the Greater Akron area will have the option watch all-star games on Tuesday.

The Women’s Tri-County Basketball Coaches Association and the Greater Akron Boys Basketball Coaches Association are each conducting all-star games in Summit County.

Norton coach Brian Miller said the WTCBCA games are scheduled to be played at Norton. The Summit Stars will meet the Portage Stars at 6 p.m. and the City Stars will meet the Medina-Suburban Stars at 7:30 p.m.

Highland coach Adam Cestaro and Garrettsville coach Andrew Olesky said the GABCA games are set to be played at Highland. An underclassmen all-star game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. and a senior all-star game is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Buchtel and Hoban all-stars prepare for OHSAA boys basketball state tournament

Archbishop Hoban senior Will Scott Jr. and Hoban junior Jonas Nichols, and Buchtel seniors Khoi Thurmon and Amire Robinson were selected to play in the GABCA all-star games, but will not compete with their teams advancing to this week's state tournament.
