Norton seeks new council member after resignation of Ward 3 councilman

Norton is seeking residents who would like to replace Ward 3 Councilman Ben Bates, who announced his resignation July 10 in a letter to City Council.

Bates did not specify his reasons for leaving, but said that serving the city's residents had been an honor.

The council position will continue through Dec. 31.

A letter of interest should be sent 4060 Columbia Woods Dr., Norton, Ohio 44203, by Aug. 1 to be considered.
