Oct. 14—HURON — The Norwalk girls soccer team got a hat trick from standout Nyah Daniels and made it stand in a 3-2 win over host Huron in a non-league win on Wednesday at Memorial Stadium in Huron.
With the win, Norwalk improved to 8-4-2 overall, while Daniels increased her season goals to 36 and her career goals total to 144.
Brooke Amburgy had an assist for the Truckers, while Hailey Rinner had four saves and Lilly Farmer had one.
Norwalk has a tall challenge on Saturday when it hosts Division II No. 8-ranked Ontario (11-2-3) at noon on Saturday.
Edison 12, Lorain 1
MILAN — The Chargers improved to 6-6-1 with Wednesday's non-league rout over the visiting Titans.
Abigail Hearing and Megan Coleman each scored three goals for Edison, while Rachel Frederick had two goals. Also scoring for Edison was Alaina Keegan, Morgan Moon, Alyssa Rice and Haley Chaput.
Edison was set to host Perkins on Thursday and Port Clinton on Saturday to close out the regular season.
