Norwalk's Shoop is All-Ohio second team

Nov. 13—Norwalk High School senior Cameron Shoop was selected to the All-Ohio second team in Division II, as announced by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

Shoop scored 23 goals and had 15 assists this season for the Truckers, who finished 13-4-1 with a share of the SBC Lake Division league title and a sectional championship.

For his career, Shoop scored 41 goals and tallied 43 assists. He is the program record holder for single-season (15, twice) and career assists.

Shoop is third in career points behind Will Gehlhausen and Caden Foos at Norwalk. His 41 goals is good for fifth-best in career goals.

An NCAA Division III Baldwin Wallace University commit, Shoop helped the Truckers to three league titles and two sectional championships in his four-year varsity career.

He was a two-time first team All-Lake selection and was second team once. At the district level, Shoop was twice second team prior to earning a spot on the first team this fall, which advanced him to the All-Ohio voting.
