Norway extended their winning run in men's biathlon World Cup relays to 10 races spanning two years with another emphatic performance on Sunday.

Saturday's pursuit winner Endre Strømsheim, Sturla Holm Lægreid, Tarjei Bø and Johannes Thingnes Bø dominated the 4x7.5-kilometres more than two minutes ahead of hosts Germany. Italy came third in foggy and windy conditions.

"I was able to shoot clean despite the strong wind, so I am proud of myself. It was a good team performance," Johannes Thingnes Bø said.

Norway's men have won all 10 World Cup relays since Russia were the last other winners on January 15, 2022 in Ruhpolding where Norway came seventh without their top stars shortly before the Beijing Olympics.

But Norway were beaten by France for gold in last year's world championship relay race.

Success in the women's 4x6km relay went to the French quartet of Lou Jeanmonnet, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Sophie Cheauveau and Julia Simon who got a first season win to complete a sweep of Oberhof women's wins.

Norway, who had won the first two women's relays, were 9.3 seconds back in second place, and Sweden finished third.

The World Cup continues in Germany for events in Ruhpolding, starting on Wednesday with another women's relay.
