Lana Del Rey fans have reacted to news that the singer is releasing a new album in July.

Late on Tuesday (27 April) night, the “Mariners Apartment Complex” singer announced that she would be releasing her second album of 2021, titled Blue Banisters, on 4 July.

It follows on the tail of Chemtrails over the Country Club, which was released on 19 March.

While fans were excited about the news of more music from Del Rey, “Picsart” trended on Twitter as fans joked that the cover art looked like it had been made on the free photo-editing app.

“Girl this better not be the album cover,” one top comment on Del Rey’s Instagram post read.

Another comment read: “I can’t tell if ur trolling or not but yes queen!”

On Twitter, one fan wrote: “Lana Del Rey really edited her album cover on picsart.”

“NOT ANOTHER PICSART COVER PLS,” another social media user joked.

“Lana is just funny. Honestly,” one fan wrote. “Everything else feels rn so produced with insane rollout campaigns. Lana meanwhile is in line to checkout at Costco editing her album cover on an iPhone that’s at least 3 generations old.”

“Live, Laugh, Lana,” another tweet joked.

The Independent’s Helen Brown gave Del Rey’s seventh studio album Chemtrails over the Country Cluba five-star review, calling it “damn-near impossible to resist”.
