'It's not easy being green.' Publix converting GreenWise markets back to traditional stores

As Kermit the Frog has been known to say, "it's not easy being green."

Publix has announced it plans to convert all eight of its GreenWise-branded markets into traditional Publix stores.

GreenWise is the Publix specialized organic grocery segment competing with chains in Florida such as Whole Foods, Fresh Market and Trader Joe's.

There are seven GreenWise Markets in Florida and one in Alabama.
