Cardi B has defended her decision to include Kylie Jenner in her “WAP” music video.

The video for the track, which features Megan Thee Stallion, was released on Friday with guest appearances from Jenner, Normani, Rosalia, Rubi Rose, Sukihana and Mulatto.

However, some fans took issue with Jenner featuring in the video due to her and the Kardashian family’s alleged appropriation of black culture.

Normani did ALL this and Kylie walked down the hall and opened a door,” one Twitter user wrote. “If that’s not a perfect visual indication of Black women having to do the most and white women do the bare minimum to get somewhere, I don’t know what is.”

A petition calling for Jenner to be removed from the “WAP” video currently has 64,000 signatures. Its description reads: “The video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone.”

“It was so important to me to include different women, that are different races and come from different backgrounds but are so powerful and influential,” she wrote.
