LAS CRUCES – Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8. Here are a few ideas on how to treat the mothers in your life. (Mother's Day shares a weekend with Cinco de Mayo this year, so check out what's going on in the community to celebrate the Mexican holiday, too!)

Free detailing by ESP Auto Detailing

ESP Auto Detailing, a mobile detailing business, is giving away a full detail to one mom this year. The package includes a full inside and outside detailing and wax, valued at over $200. Breakfast or lunch at A Bite of Belgium

Treat the moms in your life to breakfast or dinner at this downtown Las Cruces restaurant May 8. Bite of Belgium is offering a breakfast feature, Ultimate Southwest Breakfast, which includes eggs, bacon, hash browns, calabacitas with your choice of Belgian waffle or toast.

The lunch feature, roasted fillet of beef, is pre-order only. The meal includes lemon parsley mashed potatoes, calabacitas and homemade apricot almond tart for dessert. Peach mimosa and peach iced tea will be the restaurant’s featured drinks.

A Bite of Belgium, at 741 N. Alameda Blvd., will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Call 575-527-2483 to make a reservation.

Mother’s Day Brunch at the NMSU Golf Course

New Mexico State University Golf Course’s Player’s Grill is hosting their annual Mother’s Day Brunch Sunday. Brunch items include carving stations, omelet station, “Mom’osa’s” and more.

Seating is limited to reserve a table by calling 575-646-4802. Seating begins at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Mother’s Day Concert hosted by Las Cruces Parks & Rec

The City of Las Cruces’ Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free, family-friendly concert this year on May 8. Head down to the Plaza de Las Cruces with your lawn chair for some music between 5 and 8:30 p.m.

Little Joe y Familia are headlining the concert with Rick Trevino opening. Food trucks will be set up onsite.
