Timothée Chalamet has been spending the majority of his Dune press tour wearing LEWK AFTER LEWK on the red carpet, and now out of nowhere with literally no warning, he’s wearing a zip-up bottle green Slytherin sweater. Which is a lot to process for many reasons including but not limited to the fact that Timmy is clearly a Hufflepuff, IMO? Or at the very least, a Gryffindor Hufflepuff Rising??????

Anyway, Timothée Chalamet Twitter is experiencing a lot of emotions right now, with some people THRILLED by this turn of events and others alarmed:

But in many ways, Timothée wearing a Harry Potter sweater shouldn’t be surprising because he recently compared Dune to Harry Potter.

“It was nerve-racking from the announcement, because like I said before, the fans of the book and the fans of David Lynch version, the computer game, and everything, there’s so much love and strength of feeling,” he said. “And so much of our pop culture and films and books have been derived from Dune, and all the philosophy the book. I’ve been shocked to learn how many people have a next-level connection to the book. I compare it to how our generation grew up with Harry Potter, and that one makes sense to me. But it’s cool to see with Dune also, when you actually sit down and read it…it’s not that it’s a quote, unquote ‘hard read’ or anything, but it’s not made to be consumed easily, I think that’s fair to say.”

He also spoke about Harry Potter during Little Women press, saying, “I grew up on Harry Potter in some way. I grew up seeing those movies. So that first time seeing Emma Watson—this is going to be weird for her to see now—that was definitely a weird moment. I had to work past that.”

Anyway, would really appreciate Timmy retaking the sorting hat test because I refuse to believe he’s out here riding broomsticks with Malfoy.
