It's not too late: Arizona's registration deadline is Oct. 11 to vote in November election

If you want to cast a ballot in the Nov. 8 general election in Arizona, you'll need to register by the end of the day Oct. 11.

You can register to vote online, by mail or in person.

If you have your Arizona driver's license or state ID, you can register online via the Service Arizona portal.

Otherwise, you'll need to print and fill out a voter registration form and return it with proof of citizenship, which could include a copy of your driver's license, state ID, tribal ID, passport, birth certificate or naturalization papers.

You can return the form by mail or drop it off. If you're a Maricopa County voter, the Elections Department offers a 24-hour secure elections drop box outside its headquarters at 510 S. Third Ave., Phoenix.

If you don't have access to a printer, county election officials can provide the form to fill out in person.

From there, you'll receive a voter registration card in the mail within four to six weeks.

How to check your voter status

If you aren't sure if you're already registered to vote, check your status using Arizona's Voter Information Portal.

You'll need to provide one of the following:

  • Driver's license number.

  • Tribal identification card number.

  • The last four digits of your Social Security number.

Still have questions?

The Arizona Secretary of State's Office provides contact information for election officials by county.

Maricopa County voters can reach their election officials at 602-506-1511.

All voters can contact the Arizona Secretary of State's Office at 1-877-THE-VOTE or 602-542-8683.

What's on the ballot?

This is a midterm election cycle, so one of Arizona's U.S. Senate seats and all of its U.S. House seats are up for grabs, along with state and local races, including school boards.
