It’s not too late to get a Valentine’s Day table in a Fort Worth restaurant. Try these

B&B, Caterina’s, Artemio, Quince among Valentine’s options

Hey, Bud! I’m having trouble finding a restaurant for Valentine’s Day. Can that be right?

—Message to facebook.com/diningguy

Yes. Capital Grille books up early. Also, Reata is filling up for the last Valentine’s before it will move in May.

From online reservation apps and websites, I’d say the best availability is at B&B Butchers. Caterina’s, Don Artemio, Ellerbe Fine Food, Piccolo Mondo or Quince. By phone, try Fitzgerald, Lili’s or Michaels Cuisine.

My Lan for Vietnamese chow mein

Hey, Bud! Where do I find a classic Chinese restaurant? I’m looking for really good chicken chow mein.

—Crowd question at the Stayton at Museum Way senior apartments

A Vietnamese version is featured on the menu at the My Lan restaurants, including one in Haltom City. The old Cantonese-style restaurants gave way to Hunan- and Sichuan-style dining 40 years ago, so chow mein is long gone from most menus.

Recs for River Oaks Cafe, Carshon’s Deli

Hey, Bud! What do you think about chicken and dumplings?

Hey, Bud! Where do we go for coconut pie?

—More crowd questions at the Stayton at Museum Way senior apartments

1. River Oaks Cafe, 4837 River Oaks Blvd. Every day.

2. Carshon’s Delicatessen, 3133 Cleburne Road near Berry Street, on Thursdays and some Fridays. Or the coconut cream pie wevery day at the two Dixie House Cafe locations.

But don’t overlook the toasted coconut meringue pie at Malai Kitchen or the coconut cream pie at Capital Grille.
