Spartanburg's latest cake shop, Nothing Bundt Cakes, is celebrating its opening this weekend with a number of tasty giveaways.

The new cake shop is located in Hillcrest Market Place (1915 E. Main St.). Its grand opening will include a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. on Jan. 6, and free confetti bundtlets for all customers while supplies last from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Jan. 7.

The first 50 guests on Jan. 7 will also receive free bundtlets for a year in the form of a punch card that can be redeemed for one mini cake per month for 12 months.

The Spartanburg location makes the franchise's 10th store. Bundt cake offers 40 designs for a variety of occasions like holidays, birthdays, graduations and weddings. The cakes are available as 8-inch or 10-inch Bundts, miniature Bundtlets, bite-sized Bundtinis, and as tiered cakes.

Spartanburg franchisees Brian and Felicia Murrill soft opened their cake shop on Dec. 3. Brian Murrill said they've gotten great feedback from the community so far.

"We're building relationships with people in the local community, with OneSpartanburg, local schools and municipalities. Everybody's excited to have us, and we're excited to be here," Murrill said.

Nothing Bundt Cakes - Spartanburg is open from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
