— A portion of County Road 1302 in Perry Township will be closed Wednesday, May 4 and overnight to Thursday, May 5 for a culvert replacement. The road will be closed between County Road 251 and state Route 250. More specifically, it will be closed between County Road 251 and House No. 238. It is anticipated that the road will reopen on Thursday, May 5. Weather and/or technical issues may alter this timeline.

— The Ashland Noon Lions will meet Thursday at the Ashland University Convocation Center Faculty Room. Come early as parking will be reduced for trustees meeting. After lunch, Lion Larry Norris will introduce our speaker John Good to talk about slot car racing. Contact Lion Larry Norris (lnorris@zoominternet.net) for lunch count by Tuesday if you are attending.

— The regular meeting of the Public Employee Retirees, Inc, District 10 will NOT be held on May 5 as we will be attending the 2022 District 10 annual meeting at The Barn Restaurant in Smithville. Reservation cut-off Date April 28. The next meeting will be June 2 with Cindy Funk the Ashland County treasurer as the speaker.

— New Hope Community Church is facilitating the Cleveland Food Bank Mobile Pantry that will be at the Loudonville High School field house parking lot on Friday, May 6. Food distribution will begin around 10 a.m. The mobile pantry will be giving out a variety of fresh produce along with other items. The distribution will be drive-thru style with volunteers putting food directly into vehicles. Trunks should be empty for easy accessibility. The food bank is served by volunteers in the community, rain or shine. For questions call 419-994-1112.

— Milton Township will have a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 9 to discuss township insurance. Meetings are held at the Township Hall located at 1196 County Road 1356, Ashland

— Jackson Township general business meeting has been rescheduled at the township garage/office to 6:30 p.m. May 16. For questions contact Fiscal Officer Cheryl Welch 419-651-8346.

— The local Emergency Food & Shelter Program committee will have the first meeting of Phase 39 at 9 a.m. on May 24, 2022. The meeting will be held virtually. Please contact Nikki Hiller at 419-282-4263 if you would like a link to the meeting.

— The Hillsdale Local School District Board of Education (the "owner") is seeking proposals from interested firms for its new bus garage and maintenance facility project (the "project"). Interested firms may obtain a copy of the request for proposals from Steve Dickerson, superintendent, via email at sdickerson@hillsdalelocalschools.org. An optional pre-proposal meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 behind the current Hillsdale High School at 485 Township Road 1902, Jeromesville. Proposals are due to the owner on or before Friday, May 20 at 3 p.m., as more particularly described in the RFP.
