The notorious ‘Tater Salad’ set for Las Vegas performance

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Ron White, the comedian known to New York police and the world as “Tater Salad,” is scheduled to stop in Las Vegas in April.

White, who gained popularity in the early 2000s with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, is a “cigar-wielding, scotch-savoring humorist,” according to a news release. The “Tater Salad” nickname comes from one particular bit where White recounts a drunken night at a New York bar where his previous alcohol-fueled decisions come back to haunt him with hilarious results.

“In a symphony of achievements, White’s trajectory from humble beginnings to the echelons of comedy and entertainment is nothing short of awe-inspiring,” the news release said. “His narratives have not only tickled the world’s funny bone, but also have etched a profound legacy that transcends stages, screens and generations.”

The comedian will perform on April 6 at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. Tickets go on sale on Jan. 26, with a presale set for Jan 24 on Ticketmaster.
