Notre Dame doesn’t fit Big Ten expansion criteria

People like myself in high school wouldn’t ask the prettiest girl to the dance because we were scared to be rejected.

As it turns out, the Big Ten might be setting up to do the exact same thing by setting out their guidelines for any university the conference may add in the coming years.

According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, the Big Ten will only be entertaining schools that have AAU accreditation.

How do you guarantee that you can’t get rejected? You set up guidelines to prevent the rejection from ever happening.

But wait, there’s more from Rittenberg:

Well that’s awfully nice of them and I’m sure won’t ruffle any feathers.

However, seeing as the Big Ten is the reason Notre Dame takes so much pride in its football independence, I’d rather see Notre Dame join the HCAC.

(Aside from in hockey, of course).
