Notre Dame Press annual festival and sale will include traveling book exhibition

SOUTH BEND — The University of Notre Dame Press holds its annual Notre Dame Press Book Festival and Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 15 and 16 in the Hesburgh Library Concourse.

Offerings include overstock and damaged books at $5 paperback and $7 hardback, new and recent titles at a 40% discount, autographed books, and prizes.

At 5 p.m. Nov. 16, Notre Dame’s theology department presents a discussion about grace by David Bentley Hart and Jennifer Newsome Martin in the Hesburgh Library Scholars Lounge.

Notre Dame Press released Hart’s most recent book, “You Are Gods: On Nature and Supernature,” this year. Martin’s book, “Hans Urs von Balthasar and the Critical Appropriation of Russian Religious Thought” (Notre Dame Press, 2015), received The Manfred Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise.

The festival also includes the traveling exhibition of the 2022 “AUPresses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show” from Nov. 14 to 18 on the first floor of the library. It includes 91 books and book covers in the following categories: scholarly illustrated books, trade typographic books, trade illustrated books, poetry and literature books, reference books, journals, and jackets and covers (of books and journals).
