November fun awaits in the Beaver Valley & beyond

Light-Up nights, musicals and plays, food trucks, a movie premiere and dozens of pumpkins rolling down a New Brighton hill.

There's a variety of fun to choose from in the Beaver Valley and Pittsburgh area this November.

Here's a guide to help you decide where to go:

Nov. 1

Food Truck Night, 4-8 p.m. Hopewell Township Fire Department, 1401 Gringo Road.

Nov. 2

12th annual Wine Walk, 5-8:30 p.m., Sewickley. Hosted by Sewickley Chamber of Commerce.

Red Carpet World Premiere of "Dear Zoe," a film shot and set in the Pittsburgh area, 5 p.m. at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. for Red Carpet arrivals and a hosted reception, followed by the screening at approximately 6:30 p.m. The coming-of-age drama's stars Sadie Sink (Netflix's "Stranger Things") and Kweku Collins plan to attend. culturaldistrict.org

Fifth annual Great Pumpkin Roll, 3-6 p.m. a contest with pumpkins rolled down a big hill, outside Wooley Bullys Juke-Joint/Jay's Jingle Juke Joint, New Brighton.

Blackhawk High School Band 40th anniversary craft show with 200 vendors, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Blackhawk High School.

Annual Ladies' Day, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. with vendors, prizes, raffles, food and drinks, Ambridge Do It Best Home Center, 500 Ohio River Blvd., Ambridge.

Annual Pumpkin Pie Hike on the North Country Trail, a 2.75-mile walk rated "easy to moderate difficulty" 1 p.m. starting at the Watt’s Mill Trail head along Little Beaver Creek, off Route 251, South Beaver Township.
