You've no doubt already amassed quite a collection of Christmas ornaments over the years, from your kids' earliest DIY creations to nostalgia-inducing baubles from family vacations. But this year, we think you're going to want to make room for one more special find: the Official 2019 White House Christmas Ornament.

Revealed just last week, the new collectible is as special (and beautiful!) as you'd expect it to be. This year's helicopter design honors Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th president of the United States.

"This ornament symbolizes President Eisenhower's commitment to innovation," reads the trinket's description on the White House Historical Association's website. The Association is responsible for producing the ornament annually, and has honored a different president each year since 1981. "Eisenhower was the first president to fly in a helicopter while in office in July 1957, and thereafter the helicopter became a feature of White House life. It was often used by the president to commute short distances, demonstrating to the public and indeed the world that it was safe."

The ornament features both the Presidential Seal and a five-star rank, each of which represents a different aspect of Eisenhower's storied military service. Even the box it comes in has some historical significance: It's intended to look like the White House South Lawn, from which U.S. Presidents now fly directly to and from—a tradition Eisenhower started.
