When you buy Ford's top-trim, venom-spitting, 760-hp Mustang, you might think that carbon fiber comes standard. Look at the order guide and you'll see that the Carbon Fiber Track Pack—which gets you the wild spoiler, carbon wheels, and stickier tires—adds a whopping $18,500 to the price. Apparently, that wasn't enough, though, because Ford just announced $4730 worth of additional carbon-fiber accessories for the GT500.

The first is a carbon fiber hood vent, which replaces the standard plastic unit with a full carbon unit. Sticker price there is $1185, an absolute steal when compared to the $1820 carbon fiber splitter that is sure to get annihilated by any speed bump you happen upon. You can also get a carbon version of the bar that separates the upper and lower grille, prominent real estate for your $1150 investment. Last, the cheapest option is a rear decklid trim panel that slides a hunk of carbon in between the taillights. That one goes for $575.

These accessories, along with the $1000 carbon-fiber instrument panel and $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack, mean you'll have to spend $24,230 on options to get your GT500 fully carboned-out. That's on top of the $74,095 base price, bringing your total to a cool $98,325. And that's before you add the $10,000 stripes.
