You Can Now Mask Your Entire Head for $22

Just in time for my holiday break Netflix binge.

Ouai and Summer Fridays are both staples in the beauty world — with their respective masks delivering celeb-approved hair and skin treats that we didn't even know we needed. So imagine our excitement when we learned that the brands are putting their moisturizing powers together so that you can mask your entire head at once... basically.

Yes, that's right: Ouai and Summer Fridays revealed their Ouai x Summer Fridays Masque Set. The goodie box — which features Ouai's trusty treatment masque, a coveted tube of Summer Fridays' Jet Lag mask, and a headband — was made for living your best spa life, even if the spa happens to be your bedroom. Before we spend the rest of our day in masking heaven, we caught up with Jen Atkin (Ouai) and Lauren Gores Ireland and Marianna Hewitt (Summer Fridays) to talk about the team-up.

As Marianna explained in an interview with Teen Vogue, Summer Fridays has long been influenced by Ouai's work, and the trio worked together in the past, offering each other support and advice. "When we started posting and sharing Summer Fridays products on Instagram, so many people were photographing our products together," she said. "People were asking if we would ever collaborate, and it was just a natural fit."

Before the collaboration, Ouai and Summer Fridays worked to individually establish their brands and product offerings. Although their careers paths have differed, the teams have frequently supported each other. In fact, Jen said that she always knew her peers in Summer Fridays would create something special. She previously offered mentoring advice to Lauren and Marianna, explaining, "There's no exact roadmap to success because it's being done so differently," she said. "You have to be very flexible and figure it out as you go."

In speaking with Teen Vogue, Lauren said that Summer Fridays looks up to Ouai. The brand had even included items from the hair care company on a mood board pertaining to possible launch ideas for Summer Fridays. Marianna further expanded on Ouai's support, saying, "It's so great to have friends like this in the industry, who are there for you and supporting you."

Lauren continued, explaining that no matter how pretty our fave beauty items may look on Instagram, a lot of work is happening behind the scenes — including for this latest collaboration. She shared her advice for aspiring makeup moguls, saying, "Try not to get caught up in instant gratification. We're living in an Instagram lifestyle where you want it to instantly come to life, and you want that constant gratification we wanted people to share. It took us two years of creating."

There's no telling what beauty surprises these brands will unveil next, but both were excited to offer their tips for using the masque set. Whether you're dreaming of masking on vacation like Jen, prefer a mask and scroll through an Instagram session like Lauren, or you want to cover your face while soaking in the tub like Marianna, all that matters is that you enjoy.

BRB, I'm off to mask!
