Girl Scout cookie season is officially upon us, which means it's time to replenish your stock of Thin Mints, Tagalongs, and more. In past years, you had to know a Girl Scout in order to get your hands on a fresh box (or two) of cookies, but as Americans continue to grapple with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and become more reliant on digital technology, the Girl Scouts organization has pivoted as well.

Though you can expect to see far fewer in-person cookie booths for the 2022 Girl Scout cookie season, that doesn't mean that the popular confections will be harder to procure. In fact, thanks to a series of recent developments, Girl Scout cookies will be very easy to purchase this year. "In 2021, Girl Scouts created new ways to be successful in their cookie businesses so they could continue to use their cookie funds to power experiences like camp, troop activities, and service projects in their communities," interim GSUSA CEO Judith Batty said in a statement. "We are inspired by the resilience and ingenuity of Girl Scouts and cannot wait to see the girl-led innovations in the 2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program."

To that end, Girl Scouts of the United States of America has partnered with DoorDash to ensure that Girl Scout cookies are safely and easily accessible to all this year. Starting later this month, every type of cookie will be available for purchase via the on-demand delivery platform. DoorDash ordering is slated to be rolled out to "select areas" in the coming days, while wider cookie availability via the app will start next month. To find out whether on-demand delivery is available in your area, visit DoorDash.com or launch the DoorDash app and search for "Girl Scouts."

"As a Girl Scout Cookie lover myself, I am so excited to welcome Girl Scouts of the USA to our platform, providing a fast and convenient option for customers to access beloved Girl Scout Cookies on-demand, while empowering Girl Scouts to meaningfully grow their cookie businesses," Shanna Prevé, DoorDash's VP of strategic partnerships and business development, shared. "Through this collaboration, we aim to provide access and opportunity for Girl Scouts, while providing their neighborhoods with safe, efficient, and enjoyable ways to support their local troops."

And on-demand, easy delivery isn't the only thing you can expect from those entrepreneurial Girl Scouts in 2022. Read on to find out more about the current Girl Scout cookie season!
