“Ukraine should not be offered to conclude compromises with its conscience, sovereignty, territory and independence,” he said in an online video address to the leaders of the world’s top nations.

Zelenskyy presented Ukraine’s formula for peace – a 10-point plan covering everything from the complete withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine, to the establishment of a war crimes tribunal.

He challenged Russia to accept the plan – or demonstrate that it only wanted war.

“We respect the rules, and we’re people of our word,” Zelenskyy said. “Ukraine has always been a leader in peacekeeping efforts, and the world has witnessed it. And if Russia says that it supposedly wants to end this war, let it prove it with actions.”

Zelenskyy said no one can trust Russia’s words, and said there would be no “Minsks-3” (peace agreements), which he said Russia would simply violate immediately after signing.

“If there are no concrete actions to restore peace, it means that Russia simply wants to deceive all of you again, deceive the world and freeze the war just when its defeats have become particularly notable,” the Ukrainian president said.

“We won’t allow Russia to wait it out, build up its forces, and then start a new series of terror and global destabilization. I’m convinced now is the time when the Russian destructive war must and can be stopped.”

Indonesia’s Bali is hosting the G20 summit on Nov. 15-16.

According to the Reuters news agency, the leaders of the world’s 20 biggest economies during the summit will denounce the use of, or any threat to use, nuclear weapons and are going to strongly condemn Russia’s illegal, unjustifiable and unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine.

World leaders will also not pose for a traditional “family photo” at the summit in protest at Russia’s presence.

Russia is represented by its foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, as Russian dictator Vladimir Putin opted not to attend out of “security concerns,” according to the Kremlin.
