NRHS students raise money for food pantry

TEMPLETON – A group of students at Narragansett Regional High School recently held a fundraiser to benefit the Templeton Food Pantry.

Students in Jason Donovan’s class raised money by selling almond pound cake and raffle tickets for gift baskets that were donated by residents, and collecting monetary donations from local businesses, including Space Age Electronics and Graves Construction. The baskets included items such as switchable nightlights, assorted jams, gourmet cookies, and gift cards.

On Monday, Nov. 21, the students presented Michelle Cote, director of the pantry, with a check for $2,757.
