The fluidity of college basketball scheduling continues into the New Year.

Norfolk State’s two-game home series with Howard on Sunday and Monday will not be played as scheduled “due to Howard’s COVID-19 protocols,” NSU announced Saturday.

The change followed a similar move last week regarding NSU’s women’s team, which had a two-game weekend series with North Carolina Central scrapped “due to NSU’s COVID-19 protocols,” according to an NSU announcement.

The men’s games against Howard were supposed to serve as the start of the Spartans’ MEAC schedule. They’re next scheduled to play host to Morgan State on Jan. 9-10.

No makeup dates for the Howard series were announced.

NSU’s men had already had games against William & Mary and Regent postponed for similar reasons.
