A fire broke out on the nuclear-powered freight vessel Sevmorput in Murmansk, which is docked at the Atomflot berth.

Details: According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the fire occurred in an area of 30 square metres.

Later, they reported that the fire on the Sevmorput nuclear-powered freight vessel in Murmansk had been extinguished, with no casualties.

Background: According to Atomflot's website, the Sevmorput is Russia's only icebreaking transport vessel with a nuclear power unit, built at the Butoma Zaliv shipyard in Kerch between 1982 and 1988.
