There's no question that the rivalry between the Jaguars and the Titans is back. Though many players wouldn't have called it a one-sided affair heading into the weekend, Tennessee has dominated the series over the past decade.

On Sunday, however, that changed with Jacksonville dominating the Titans in a 36-22 victory that wasn't nearly as close as the scoreboard indicated.

For the Jaguars, the victory gives the team new hope. At 5-8 and only two games behind first place in the AFC South (Titans, 7-6), there's a sliver of hope to keep the season alive beyond Week 18.

The Jaguars will have their hands full this week when they return home to TIAA Bank Field to host the Dallas Cowboys (10-3).

"This is a short-term memory business. It’s the 24-hour rule after a game. You’re on to the next. You try to remember what you did last week and build on it and do a little bit more this week, then you do more next week, whatever it is," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Wednesday.

Regardless, the Jaguars' victory showed everyone more than just that Jacksonville can hang with the class of the division, it showed everyone they have a quarterback and he's not going anywhere.

Let's take a look at the numbers that stood out and what will be important to look at moving forward.

368: Trevor Lawrence is among the elites

The one clear takeaway from the Jaguars' win over the Titans on Sunday was that Lawrence put together yet another "evidence" day with his proficiency throwing the football. Lawrence completed 30-of-42 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns. He ran for another score.

Lawrence's 386 yards were the most thrown in a single game in his career. This season, Lawrence has completed 66.16 percent of his passes for 3,202 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. He's currently on pace for 4,187 yards, 26 TDs and eight interceptions.

His yardage total would rank third all-time in Jaguars history behind Blake Bortles and Mark Brunell and his touchdown total would rank second in franchise history in a single season behind Bortles.

Lawrence's stats show that he is playing at an elite level right now.

Over the past five games, following the team's Week 8 loss against the Denver Broncos, Lawrence has completed a league-high 71.8 percent of his passes for 1,362 yards, 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions. He is the only QB during that span to throw 10 or more touchdowns with no interceptions.

Lawrence's passer rating during that span is the second-best among quarterbacks, too. He has a rating of 111.7 and Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has a passer rating of 112.3 during that same span.

"He's playing at a high level," Jaguars receiver Zay Jones said of Lawrence after the game on Sunday. "You just watch him — anyone who really knows football can see the tape, the kid is playing well."

3: Travon Walker has breakthrough, gets first full sack since Week 7

Outside linebacker Travon Walker graded out as the third-best pass-rush edge player in Week 14, according to Pro Football Focus. He graded out at a 91.6 behind Philadelphia's Brandon Graham and Houston's Ogbonnia Okoronkwo.

Walker led the way in the Jaguars' front seven with three pressures on 13 pass-rush opportunities, according to Pro Football Focus. He played just 34 snaps due to a right ankle injury suffered in the second half of the contest. It was Walker's best game of the season, with a 77.3 grade per PFF.

Walker lined up in a three-point stance (down lineman) on 13 snaps Sunday, something Jacksonville did to get him in a better position to succeed.

On the third play of the game, Walker jumped offsides, giving Tennessee a short third-and-five opportunity. After the game, Walker said he responded well, not wanting to let the team down.

"Once I had jumped offsides, I started telling our guys, ‘I’ve got y’all’s back.’ And all the guys were just like, ‘Don't slow up, don't slow up. Just continue being you.’ Once I got that from my guys, it just kept my confidence growing and I just kept playing," he said.

Walker has had an up-and-down season thus far after being selected with the first-overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He is currently fourth among rookie edge players with 31 total pressures. He has 3.5 sacks thus far through 13 games.

162: Evan Engram has career day in Nashville

Jaguars tight end Evan Engram was the team's best receiver against the Titans in Week 14. He caught 11 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns — the most yards of his career to date. Engram is tied with Jimmy Smith for 10th all-time in franchise history for receiving yards in a game.

Through 14 weeks played this year, Engram ranks fifth among all tight ends in receiving yards with 548. He has caught 53 passes.

"Evan's one of the most hardworking guys we have on this team," WR Christian Kirk said after the game Sunday. "Comes in, doesn't complain about anything. He just goes to work and he does everything that the coaches asked him to do. For him to come out and have a career day, it was awesome to see."

With 162 yards, Engram now has the most receiving yards among any Jaguars tight end in a single game in franchise history.

Engram is one of five tight ends in NFL history to have at least 11 catches, 160 yards and two touchdowns in a single game. Only Shannon Sharpe, Darren Waller, Travis Kelce and Kellen Winslow Sr. have accomplished that feat.

0: Tyson Campbell shuts down Titans pass game

Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell posted another elite performance on Sunday, showcasing why he is the team's No. 1 option at corner.

During the game, Campbell was targetted just three times and he responded with three pass breakups, not allowing a single catch. It was the first game this season in which Campbell did not allow a single reception.

He has allowed more than 47 yards just once this year, according to PFF (Week 9 against the Raiders).

Campbell is tied for fourth in the league with 12 pass breakups this year, according to Pro Football Reference. New York Jets rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner ranks first with 16 on the year.

2: Jaguars are two games back of the AFC South lead

After the team's brutal loss to the Lions in Week 13, it seemed silly to even bring up the playoffs. Now, after the team soundly defeated the Titans in Week 14, it seems silly not to at least acknowledge that there's a chance.

With four games remaining, the Jaguars are two games back of the division lead.

This is the remaining schedule for the Jaguars: Cowboys (home), New York Jets (away), Houston Texans (away), Titans (home).

The Titans' schedule is equally as daunting: Los Angeles Chargers (away), Houston Texans (home), Cowboys (home), Jaguars (away).

It's plausible that the Jaguars play for the AFC South lead in Week 18 against the Titans. For example, if the Jaguars win two out of their next three games and the Titans lose two of their next three games they'll head into the season finale with records of 7-9 and 8-8, respectively.

Since Jacksonville has already defeated Tennessee, they'd own the head-to-head (first tiebreaker) over the Titans, and, as long as the Indianapolis Colts haven't caught up, win the title.

There's a chance, and the Jaguars aren't necessarily shying away from it.

"It's incredible. It's not far-fetched at all," Zay Jones said after the game n Sunday. "They're a good team. We got to play them again. You've got to be focused. But as far as our division goes, we got some games coming up that can really turn the tide for us. I'm not sure about all the variables that need to happen if there’s something as far as us controlling what we can. It's sitting right in front of us."
