My name is Chase Picard and I am the oldest of five children. I am a senior enrolled at Nute High School in Milton, NH. I have had the privilege of taking many Career Technical Education programs through Spaulding High School. In AFJROTC, I was able to earn my commercial drone license, complete pilot ground school, and pass my private pilots written test. I am the first student in the 30 year history of the program to ever pass both exams and was recently recognized by both Nute and Spaulding with a plaque hung in my honor. I have also achieved my OSHA 10 and EPA license through the HVAC program, which will allow me to work with refrigerants. I attained all of these accomplishments while balancing my time as a three-sport varsity athlete, member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Kitty Hawk Air Society, Aviation Club, HVAC class ambassador, community service project coordinator, youth sports coach, and long time volunteer at my church. I have also taken pride in my academic honors and achievements, which include class Valedictorian.

I have recently committed to The College of Missionary Aviation, where I will be receiving my commercial pilots license and Airframe and Powerplant certificate, while earning a degree in missions. My goal is to lead a life of service through missionary aviation while becoming a bush pilot, and eventually using my skills to serve my country in some capacity through the military. This will give me the opportunity to bring needed supplies and hope to people in remote places all around the world. With the ambition and determination I have to succeed, I’m confident in my ability to do great things for our country, and the world as a whole. Special thanks to my supportive parents Aaron and Carol Picard, for teaching me the value of hard work, for always encouraging me to do my best, and for never missing an opportunity to cheer me on.

After graduating from Nute I will be attending the University of New Hampshire for Engineering in the fall of 2023 and I will continue my volunteer work at 3 Dogs Rescue. I'm going to miss the closeness of having a small school when I go off to college, but I am excited to experience a larger community. I want to thank all of my teachers for their support and encouragement during my time at Nute. I would also like to thank my Mom and Dad for everything they've done for me throughout my life to help prepare me for adulthood.

My time at Nute was nothing short of memorable. I made great friends and memories, and learned from some of the most unique people I’ve come across. My educators have inspired me to lean towards a career in education after I graduate. I am enrolled to attend Wheaton College this coming fall. I hope to major in English and minor in education, but at this moment in time I am undecided on my major. I would like to thank my mom for believing in me and my abilities all these years. Also, I would like to thank my educators; Mrs. Pratt, Mr. Shea, Ms. Lewis, Mrs. Anderson, and many, many more, for pushing me to do my best work all of the time, for never giving up on me, and for always believing I could do something good with this life. I appreciate it more than words can say. “And love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love cannot be killed or swept aside.” Lin-Manuel Miranda
