To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man, or at least meet the man and get his approval.

After winning the prestigious NWA title, EC3 returned to his home base - Cleveland. BTW, so many talented pro wrestlers are from Ohio. Must be something in the water.

The great Ric Flair, who proudly wore that NWA title back in the day, happened to be touring Ohio around that time, promoting his Wooooo! Energy Drink.

When you think of the NWA, Hall of Fame names like Brisco, Funk, Race, Rhodes, Steamboat, Thesz and Flair come to mind. It’s an honor to hold that title.

So the 40-year-old EC3 with that historic black-n-gold championship belt met The Nature Boy during that Ohio tour as past champ and current champ shared a hug, a handshake and Wooooo! Energy. Proud moment for EC3 to be with Flair, an NWA staple. Nice photo op, too.

EC3, with that NWA title, will be in his old stomping grounds - Florida - Jan. 11-14 for some electrifying mat action and more.

Here is my audio interview with NWA champ EC3 as we discuss him winning the NWA title, meeting Ric Flair, the NWA, working with NWA leader and “Smashing Pumpkins” frontman Billy Corgan, shows in Florida, Coastal Championship Wrestling, starting/running his own pro wrestling school and promotion Exodus Pro Wrestling in his native Ohio and more.

NWA in Florida

The NWA, one of the oldest and longest running pro wrestling promotions in the world, will emanate from Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, Jan. 13 with two shows at Revolution Live.

Dubbed “NWA Paranoia,” you will see the NWA’s best competing in all sorts of matches. The main event features two top talents as EC3 defends that NWA title against Matt Cardona.

What a journey for the NWA champ EC3. He’s worked for AAA, FCW, Global Force, Impact Wrestling, NXT, ROH and WWE to name a few. He’s traveled the world and continues to entertain with an eclectic pro wrestling acumen. His mantra: CYN (Control Your Narrative), which he professes at his pro wrestling school Exodus Pro Wrestling in his native Cleveland.
