One Washington Heights deli worker socked another in the mouth Saturday because his sandwich didn’t cut the mustard, police said.
Ali Zubaidi, 26, flew into a rage over how his 29-year-old coworker handled his order inside the N & H Deli on Broadway near W. 145th St. about 1:45 a.m. cops said.
The deli disagreement turned violent when the older man stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. Zubaidi allegedly stormed up to him and clocked him over the cold cut clash.
The punch dropped the deli man, who suffered cuts on his knuckles when he fell, police said.
Zubaidi was arrested and charged with assault.
His arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Saturday.
When reached by phone, a worker at N & H Deli said he wasn’t working when the assault took place and could not comment.
