NYC Muslim girl, 15, pepper-sprayed by stranger who calls her terrorist
A 15-year-old Muslim girl was pepper-sprayed on a Brooklyn street by a stranger who called her a terrorist, police said Wednesday.
The victim was walking on New Utrecht Ave. in Bensonhurst when she was confronted by a woman near 79th St. about 1:50 p.m. Dec. 19, cops said.
“You f—ing terrorist Muslim,” the attacker, believed to be about 40, said as she sprayed the young victim in the face before running off.
The shaken teen did not require medical attention. The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
Cops on Wednesday released surveillance images of the suspect and are asking the public’s help identifying and tracking her down.
