NYC Restaurant Week Winter Reservations Now Open

NEW YORK CITY — Foodies, gourmands and noshers — get ready to start booking tables at a smorgasbord of New York City's finest restaurants.

Reservations opened Tuesday for this winter's NYC Restaurant Week. The four-week event runs from Jan. 18 to Feb. 13.

"With hundreds of restaurants rolling out special prix-fixe menus for a limited time, this is your chance to try it all in the most vibrant dining scene in the world," the event's website states.

A menu of participating eateries is now online at the NYC Restaurant Week site for prospective diners. Perhaps Industry Kitchen's promises of wood-fired pizza accompanied by panoramic views of Brooklyn's waterfront whets your appetite — if it does, just click "Book."

Or maybe the chance to dine at a James Beard Award winner such as Hearth — which, by the way, offers potato gnocchi with sage butter and parm — sounds enticing.

The prices are set at $29, $39 and $59 to give New Yorkers a chance to expand their culinary horizons without putting a major dent in the wallet.

Restaurant Week comes amid a surge in coronavirus cases fueled by the omicron variant. Establishments are taking precautions and will require vaccinations.

"While New York City is open, Covid-19 remains a reality for all of us," the event's website states. "We aim to provide you with the most current information about our NYC Winter Outing programs, but due to ongoing developments, we recommend checking with venues before you go. Proof of vaccination is required for everyone over the age of 5 to participate in indoor activities, including dining in restaurants and attending Broadway shows."
