NYPD Officers Save Woman From Central Park Reservoir

Two police officers rescued a woman from the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in New York’s Central Park on Tuesday, April 12.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) said Officer Healy and Sergeant Debellis saw a woman in distress in the reservoir on Tuesday afternoon. “They quickly jumped into action and helped get her to safety,” the NYPD wrote on Twitter.

Footage released by the NYPD shows officers climbing over the fence. One removes equipment and swims towards the woman, while the other officer uses a rope to pull them back to safety. Credit: NYPD via Storyful
