NYS Testing Site Opens At Rockland Community College

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — New York State has opened another coronavirus testing site in the Hudson Valley, this one at Rockland Community College.

The site opened Tuesday, even though RCC’s main campus is closed due to a water main break.

The site, in the Fieldhouse on the campus at 145 College Road in Suffern, NY 10901, will operate 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments can be made here.

Walk-in testing, without an appointment, is available to RCC’s faculty, staff and students during regular hours of operation at the Community Testing Site. Additionally, there are evening and weekend hours available for RCC’s faculty, staff and students. Visit RCC’s testing page for dates and details. Prior to testing, RCC faculty, staff and students must register on the SUNY testing website.

"Thank you to Governor Kathy Hochul for establishing this new site and to all the other local elected officials who advocated for its opening," said Rockland County Executive Ed Day.

The state health department partnered with Quadrant Biosciences to operate the site which will provide oral, saliva-based PCR COVID-19 tests. Quadrant Biosciences currently operates several other sites around New York which maintain capacity for 225 appointments per day and up to 50 walk-ins.
