·1 min read

Oakland senior running back Jordan James has confirmed his final three college choices, and he will wait until signing day to announce his commitment.

James has narrowed his final three to Oregon, Florida and Georgia and will announce that decision at noon on Wednesday.

On Thursday James retweeted (with a pinpoint emoji and a question mark) a tweet by 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong that listed his signing day time and final three choices.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound James, rated by 247Sports Composite as the No. 16 player nationally at his position (No. 4 overall in Tennessee), committed to Georgia last March but did not sign with the Bulldogs during the December early period.

After that, teams such as Oregon, Florida, Florida State and Notre Dame began actively recruiting him.

He took an official visit to Oregon last weekend.

James led Oakland to its second consecutive 15-0 season and Class 6A state title. He also won his second straight BlueCross Bowl MVP award in a 43-26 win over Summit.

He rushed for 1,653 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2021, earning all-area player of the year honors for the second consecutive season. He finished his two-year Oakland career with 3,393 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns.
