Oakland man charged with lewd actions near school

(KRON) – A 53-year-old Oakland resident William Odomhickey was charged in connection to lewd actions near a school in the Richmond District, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced Friday.

San Francisco Police officers from Richmond Station responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Geary Boulevard and 31st Avenue, where they detained the vehicle’s occupant on Jan. 23.

A reporting party stated that the suspect made lewd gestures near a school. The victims include three female victims, two adults and one minor. The victim reported that the suspect has “behaved inappropriately” on numerous occasions.

According to police, officers found a loaded firearm and additional magazines in the suspect’s vehicle when arresting him.

Odomhickey pleaded not guilty to one count of stalking, one count of child molesting, one count of child endangerment, two counts of indecent exposure, possession of a concealed firearm that he was not the registered owner of in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm that he was not the registered owner of, and one count of possession of a firearm on school grounds.

“I would like to thank the San Francisco Police Department for their work to keep our children and schools safe,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. “My office will do everything in our power to keep children safe and ensure that there is accountability and consequences for dangerous, unacceptable behavior near our schools.”

The preliminary hearing for this case is Feb 7. Odomhickey is being held without bail.

If convicted of all charges he faces more than five years in state prison.
