Obituary: Ann R. Pikor, 95, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Ann R. Pikor, 95, passed away, Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the MidState Medical Center.

Ann was born in Wallingford, May 28, 1925, a daughter of the late Martin and Rosalie Loin Pikor and was a lifelong Wallingford resident.

She had been employed by Wallace Silver Company and later by Allegheny Ludlum Steel until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church and served on the Wallingford Transit Authority.

Ann loved to travel and was very artistic. She especially loved shopping with her good friend Hilda. Ann cherished special occasions, gathering with great nieces and great nephews, and loved going out for dinner and the theater.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sharon A. Cassello and her husband Robert of Wallingford, Pamela Vose and her husband Dave of Massachusetts, Greg Pikor and his wife Rita of Georgia, Penny Losi and her husband Rodney of Wallingford; and several great nieces and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and James Fritz; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Helen Pikor, John and Claire Pikor, Anthony and Mary Pikor, Stanley Pikor and Edward and Jean Pikor; her niece, Mary Ann Diaz and her nephews, David Pikor, Anthony Pikor Jr., Edward Pikor Jr., and Frank Pikor Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 14, at 11:30 am directly at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony St., Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. COVID precautions and masks are required.
