WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Brenda Marie Raffile, 60, of Wallingford, loving wife of 40 years of Timothy Raffile, heaven’s newest angel was called home on December 17, 2020.
She was born in New Haven on March 1, 1960, a daughter of Ralph and Vivian (Thurman) Pascale of Wallingford.
It is with heavy heart that we announce our beloved mother, Brenda Marie Raffile, passed away while the glistening snow was falling.
Brenda fought a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Diabetes. Her body simply could not keep up with her spirit or loving nature.
Brenda was born in New Haven and was a lifelong resident of Wallingford, except for the 5 years spent as a child living in Visalia, California, which she had fond memories of.
Brenda graduated from Wilcox Technical High School in 1978 from the hairdressing program.
She later worked at Sentry Insurance before becoming a Princess House and Avon consultant.
She proudly stayed at home to raise her three children that were always her primary focus.
Her patience and love of children combined with her caring nature made her the definition of a mother. She also had a love and compassion for animals and had a fondness for the late animal crusader Steve Irwin.
Her four granddaughters each owned a section of her heart. They will never go a day without knowing Brenda's love for them was beyond words and time. There will always be a guardian angel smiling down on them.
In addition to her husband, Timothy and her loving parents, Ralph and Vivian, she is survived by her daughter, Carissa Carta and her husband, Harold Carta Jr. and their daughter, Brooklyn Carta; her son, Timothy Raffile Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth Raffile and their three children, Emily, Alannah and Annalise; her son, Brandan Raffile; her sister, Cynthia Jackson and her husband, Gary and their daughter, Kristel Jackson, their son, Richard Jackson (Katelyn) and their two children, Mason and Austin; her sister, Stacey McPherson-Ranciato and husband, Michael, along with their children, Tyler, Matthew, Victoria and Bianca; her best friend since childhood, Francine Curley.
Brenda is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Georgia and Rex Thurman and her paternal grandparents, Peter and Filomena Pascale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10 am directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wallingford. (COVID-19 precautions and face coverings are required).
There are no calling hours.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass. You can view her Mass by visiting her web-page at www.wallingfordfh.com on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory can be made to the Meriden Humane Society. 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 0645.
Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford.
