The victim's mother speaks out: It has been a long and rocky road for Amber Rhoads, whose son, Dusty Ray Rhoads, was killed when his vehicle was hit by Jackson, authorities said.

"I'm glad we got justice for Dusty," his mother said by phone.

Rhoads' son died along State Road 40 after a three-vehicle crash.

"We're doing OK. It's never been the same," she said.

Rhoads said her son died when he was 18, and he would've been 22 in June.

"I want to thank the State Attorney's Office for fighting hard for Dusty, and the Ocala Police Department for keeping in touch with me," she said.
