The truck crossed the center line, entering the northbound lane, and struck the sedan almost head-on, the patrol reported. Upon impact, the pickup rotated into the path of the third vehicle, the SUV, which hit the pickup on the right side.

Officials said the truck Kahler was driving traveled to the east shoulder, hit a mailbox and stopped.

The crash occurred on SR 200 at Citrus County Road 491.

The sedan driver, a 33-year-old woman from Ocala, was pronounced dead at the scene.
