Ocala woman wins national contest; headed to Scotland for trip of a lifetime

A keen ear has given Stacey Grantham wings.

Grantham, a local registered nurse, won the grand prize trip package, worth $20,000, in the #JustHeardAnytime Sweepstakes held during the broadcast of the Super Bowl and sponsored by Anytime Fitness, a worldwide franchise of privately owned gyms.

Grantham and her eldest son, Logan, 28, a radiology technician, are bound for the adventure of a lifetime in Scotland this fall.

Sweepstakes rules stated the winner could choose any worldwide destination that has an Anytime Fitness location. The Granthams chose Glasgow. A press release about the contest results states the two are going to “honor their Scottish heritage.”

Stacey Grantham was hoping to win one of the 50 gym memberships offered as prizes. But she wound up winning the grand prize trip − and getting one of the memberships, to boot.

Grantham stated in an email that she thought she “heard ‘anytime’ two or three times” during the broadcast and tweeted a reply.

A press release on the contest wins states the hashtag was tweeted almost 6,000 times.

Grantham soon received a notice stating: “You heard Anytime. And now you’re hearing 'grand prize winner.' ”

Grantham initially thought the reply was a scam. She wasn't fully convinced of her winnings until she received a confirming message two weeks later.

The mother and son selected Scotland because of the history, a chance to visit castles, and a love of the the Highland imagery portrayed in TV programs like “Outlander.”

She stopped in the location at 3920 SE Baseline Road recently to meet owner Rob Moffett.

According to the company website, the Baseline Road location has coaches who create a plan for members after getting to know the person. The coach then ”works with you and listens.”
