OCC, College Heights plan Christmas productions

Nov. 29—Ozark Christian College has announced this year's Christmas production, "It's a Wonderful Life: The Musical," will be performed Thursday through Sunday in the college chapel.

College Heights Christian School will present "A Christmas Carol" from Dec. 14-16.

'It's a Wonderful Life'

Directed by Shannon Wendt and choreographed by Ashley King, the musical follows George Bailey from youth to adulthood as he contemplates whether his life has mattered at all.

Cinematically scored and theatrically staged, this musical adaptation retains the warmth and humor of the classic film.

"Once again, the Ozark students have created an outstanding production to celebrate the holidays," Wendt said in a statement. "The music and dance are magical, the humor and staging engaging, and the actors' hearts are evident in every line. It's always a complete joy to work with OCC students and staff."

Evening performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, with matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

General admission tickets may be purchased online at occ.edu/christmas.

Ozark Christian College is at 1111 N. Main St. in Joplin.
