Occupiers plan to "clean" occupied territories from churches not controlled by Kremlin

The Russians have begun to engage in the so-called "integration" of religious organisations in the occupied territories of Ukraine, with the aim of leaving only churches under the control of the Kremlin.

Quote: "The programme ‘Assisting religious organisations in Integration into the Russian Socio-Cultural Space’ has come into effect in the temporarily occupied territories. It is run by an NGO called the ‘Russian Association for the Protection of Religious Freedom’, which is financed by grants from the President of the Russian Federation.

The organisation is carrying out an audit of the property of denominations in order to further destroy all Protestant movements, the local Orthodox Church of Ukraine and Muslim centres that are not under the control of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of the Russian Federation. Moscow has implemented a similar policy in Crimea."

Background: Earlier, the NRC reported that the Russian invaders intend to open training centres for propagandists in the occupied territories, particularly in Berdiansk.
