Ocean City Chef Creates Homemade Soup Donation Service

Eddie "Chef Ed" McGuarn has almost 40 years of experience in the kitchens of fine restaurants. Now you can donate the Ocean City-based chef's creations to someone in need or to express gratitude.

McGuarn runs a local business called The Soup Bar. He teamed up with the OCNJ Chatter Facebook group on a soup delivery project. The program launched in an effort to help people who might not be able to purchase or prepare soup, or for customers to show others appreciations.

For every four quarts of soup purchased, The Soup Bar will donate an additional quart to help the cause. You can purchase soup online or by calling 856-313-4389.

McGuarn posts which soups he's making in the OCNJ Chatter group. This week, he made loaded potato, apple pumpkin bisque, lemon chicken orzo and chili crab bisque.

He said he also plans to open a storefront in the area.
