KENNEBUNKPORT — The Grey Gull Cottage recently sold for $9 million, making it the highest-priced sale of all time in Kennebunkport and in all of York County, according to the realtors who handled the sale.

The oceanfront home at 83 Turbatts Creek is at the mouth of Turbats Creek and overlooks the Vaughn Island Preserve. Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty Kennebunk-based agent Bill Gaynor represented this record-breaking sale.

The property had been in the same family for over 80 years and offers hundreds of feet of oceanfront. Built in 1929, the historic five-bedroom home is 4,108 square feet with 275 feet of waterfront.
